What To Bring

HDMI Cable

Many hotels have LCD TV’s in each room you can use to watch basic Free-To-Air TV. This may not be very useful to you when travelling somewhere you don’t speak the local language. I brought an HDMI cable on a recent trip to Japan to watch movies from my laptop or plan the next day on a larger screen.

Universal Power Adapter + 4 or 6 port Powerboard

Obvious, but often forgotten. One universal power adapter with a powerboard that matches all of your chargers is way easier and cheaper than bringing multiple universal power adapters.

A Pen

Having a pen in your carry on will save you the hassle of asking someone else on the plane for a pen or finding one at the terminal to fill in your customs/immigration card.
